Bound By Distance documentary follows a team of six Australian runners and support crew, each with their own unique story, capturing authentic human connection and vulnerability as they race through the Californian Desert from LA to Las Vegas (550km) in the longest, hardest, unsanctioned, no rules race in the world — The Speed Project.
In Australia, the rise of run clubs has brought about a wave of positive human interactions. What started as a small group of five people has grown into a community of 16,000 with up to 500 runners coming to participate every week. Some might dismiss this as just a trend, but if it fosters positive one-on-one connections, how can we overlook its value? Can run clubs be a cure for loneliness?
In today's world, where phones often create barriers between us, in-person connection is more precious than ever. We are excited to explore the powerful bonds that run clubs cultivate and share the stories of how they bring people together.
